亚慱体育appCardiovascular disease is the major contributor to the adverse life expectancy gap between Leicester and the rest of England. In the East Midlands, around 170,000 people are suffering from coronary heart disease – the nation’s single biggest killer and leading cause of heart attack.
Our main research interests are in common cardiovascular diseases, including coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure and ventricular arrhythmias.
亚慱体育appOur theme houses state-of-the-art facilities that enable our multi-disciplinary team to conduct translational research – taking laboratory findings from bench to bedside. It also includes a stunning British Heart Foundation (BHF) Cardiovascular Research Centre, comprising office space, meeting rooms and state-of-the-art laboratories.
