亚慱体育appOur 3 former biomedical research units have had a superb track record, developing 129 PhD students and authoring 307 scientific papers. 75% of our trainees progressed into further research or training. We have facilitated 20 successful fellowship applications and provided development experience for 59 non-medical clinical professionals. We have been successful in supporting nurses’ research-related career development by obtaining prestigious awards (such as the NIHR-funded MRes). Our cardiovascular theme has received national recognition for its work to support allied health professionals through higher degrees.

We recognise the particular barriers women face, and the importance of investing in initiatives at key career transition points where women are disproportionately affected. To this end, we have aligned with the Athena SWAN charter and support Leicester Women in Medicine.
We will provide broad, flexible opportunities for our staff to develop professionally through research, contributing to the training and development of the next generation of research leaders.
